Aaron Simmons: A High-Energy, Emotional Storyteller with Minnesota Roots

Big man, bigger heart. Hailing from Stewartville, a small town in southeast Minnesota, Aaron Simmons is best known for his unique combination of high-energy stage presence and vulnerable songwriting. Nobody has more fun on stage, and nobody is more in touch with the emotions his music conveys about love, loss, family, community, and chasing dreams.

The essence of country music lies in storytelling, and that is precisely what Simmons excels at. He released his first album, "Third St SW," independently in 2020, which debuted at #5 on the iTunes Country Albums Chart. He followed that up with multiple singles leading to the release of his second independent album, "Center Avenue," in the summer of 2023.

Simmons is a seven-time nominee for awards in the Midwest Country Music Organization (including Male Vocalist in ’23 & ’22, Song in ’23 & ’22, Album in ’23, Music Video in ’22, and New Artist in ’21). His single “Soldier in a Frame” was selected as a semifinalist in the American Songwriter magazine’s “2023 Song of the Year” contest. Additionally, his single “Nobody’s Home in Wadena” held the #1 position on Spotify's Local Pulse: Minneapolis chart for two consecutive weeks in August 2022. He has also opened for renowned acts such as Scotty McCreery, Parmalee, Easton Corbin, Elvie Shane and Restless Road.

Since 2021, Simmons has resided in Nashville, where he draws inspiration from artists like Chris Stapleton, Caitlyn Smith, Brothers Osborne, and Tenille Townes.
